Twenty one years and still going strong, WonderCon returned to San Francisco in March. The Glamourcon On The Road Team made a quick trip to the show to check it out and say hello to Glamourcon friends.

The nice folks at WonderCon were ready with a press pass and in we went as soon as the con began. We were immediately impressed with the huge, well-organized setup. Row after row of comic, collectible and pop culture dealers were presented along with celebrities in "artists alley." This is where we caught up with Glamourcon regulars Linda Tran, Walt Davis and, of course, Our Glamourcon Girl of The Year, Justine Joli.

We were there at the very start of the show so our Glamourcon friends were just setting up. But, owing to their popularity, they were inundated with fans from the start. Two loyal Glamourcon fans from San Francisco, Tom and Paul, were front and center and made a beeline to Justine's Table. Justine was helping out artist James Rizzi by showing his wonderful three dimensional artwork as well as her own material. We were intrigued by watching Justine talk to fans about every kind of comic, sci-fi, anime and pop culture tidbit you can imagine. All that knowledge and drop dead looks to boot!

We thought Tiffany Taylor was going to the show but we were not able to locate her as the con fills up pretty fast, even on the Friday first day.

If you want to check out a quality show with hundreds of dealers, scores of artists, small press folks and celebrities as well as great programming, then WonderCon is for you. It is owned by the same folks who own the San Diego Comic Con and has the same flavor without the tremendous crowds and waits.

WonderCon is always an enjoyable experience and we look forward to visiting with our Glamourcon vendors and fans at the next show in 2008.
